Mariam Mokarzel, 89 Born May 1, 1934 – passed, February 5 2024 A lifetime Austinite, Mariam was the youngest of 10 children born to Ayub Galeb Mokarzel and Carlota Castro Mokarzel. Mariam graduated from Austin High School, married her high school sweetheart, and spent her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. Words can’t describe how much she will be missed. Her spunk and candor was always on point, never ceasing to make everyone smile. We are forever grateful for her long and prosperous life with her four children, 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. After her having outlived all her brothers and sisters, we find peace knowing her return home will be most welcome. Mariam is predeceased by her parents, 9 siblings, and the father of her children Morris Olguin, Jr. She is survived by her four children: Son Michel and wife Rita, child Montana. Son Mark and wife Kirsten, Children Rocco, Ashton, Ethan, Macy. Daughter Marina, Children Maegan, husband Lee Carmona, Melissa husband Thomas Lim and Landry wife Amber Sonnier.
