Obituary of Frances R. Mata

Our beloved Frances R. Mata, age 83, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny B. Torres; her parents, Juan and Candelaria Ramirez; her brothers, Johnny Ramirez and baby boy Ramirez, and her brother-in-law, Albert Tamez.

Frances is survived by her children, Sandra Bryson (James), Christine Torres (Brian Engle), Maryann Solheim (Danny), Gerianne Lawrence, and Efrain Mata; her grandchildren, Sierra Johnson (Dan), Valerie Rychlik (Phillip), Victoria "Tori" Bryson, Brooke Noble (David Guerra), Paul Lockey, Joseph Muñoz, and Jacob Lawrence; her great grandchildren, James Johnson and Isabella Johnson; her siblings, Augustine Ramirez, Delfina Esquivel (Jesus), Mary Alice Tamez, and Mary Jane Laughlin (Harlan), and numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  The chapel will open that morning at 9:00 a.m.  This will conclude the public services for Ms. Frances Mata.
