Obituary of Joe Polanco

Our beloved Joe D. Polanco, age 84, native resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Polanco and Irene Polanco; his sisters, Connie Milicia, Cathy Alvarado, and Sylvia Alvarado; his brother, Jimmy Polanco; his niece Gracie Walker; his brothers-in-law, Richard Gonsalez, Joe Gonzales, Fred Gonzales, and Rueben Gonzales. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 17 beautiful years, Rachel Polanco; his children, Mark Polanco (Vickie), Michelle Polanco, Vincent Robert Ortiz, Carol Ortiz-Burke (Bill), Terry Ortiz, David Ortiz, and Kevin Ortiz (Kathleen); his grandsons, Eric Polanco, Vincent Robert III, and Adam Ortiz; his granddaughters, Julayne Williams, Victoria Burke, Emily Ortiz, Cecilia Ortiz, and Sarah Ortiz; his great grandchildren, Malicha Polanco, Elijah Polanco, Kemp Vincent Ortiz, Evalyn Williams, Jourdynn Williams, and Dalton Brooks Porter; his sisters-in-law, Josephine Sifuentes (Everett), Amy (Mele) Roecker, Hope Raby (Chuck), Micaela Inscore (Richard), Linda Chagoya, Patsy Hernandez, and two brothers-in-law, Joe Alvarado, and Ray Gonzales; numerous nieces, and many other loving family and friends. 

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr. Austin, Texas, 78748.

This will conclude the services for Mr. Polanco.
