Steve and I coached together when Eric and my son Jonathan played for the Longhorns at GEAYL. He sponsored the uniforms and our team looked like baby longhorns. Went to a tournament during midseason and the other teams were a little intimidated by our uniforms. It was an exciting season that year. During those early years we would go on vacations together. The one I remember the most is when we all went to Disney World. We had a great time there, going to Pensacola and Clearwater while there also. There is much more I could say but hope those memories will bring a smile to Monica and the boys. I do and will miss his smile, witt and friendship.

Q: What will you never forget about Steven?
A: Coach Steve was my first baseball coach and the reason why I loved the game so much I decided to play softball at the college level. He was always encouraging and kind and I knew then he always wanted what was best for us. I’m going to miss you coach thank you for all the wonderful memories and life lessons you shared that have made me into the young woman I am today.

Whenever I saw Steve he had a smile on his face. His son Jacob has inherited that quality.
