Margi, I'm so so sorry for your loss. Richard and I had quite a few classes together in school, and I considered him a close friend, though we'd been out of touch for many years. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to connect at recent reunions, and that I got to meet you. Remembering you and your family in my prayers.

Richard was a great friend and one of the best managers I ever had. I will remember him for the rest of my days. Strongly principled and technically excellent. He clearly loved his wife and family, and you could see it whenever he spoke about them. His Margi was so special to him, and he was so proud of his grandchildren.
He loved his hot peppers, and made great chili. The TxDPS Chili Master year after year. He introduced me to more different beers than I can count at the Flying Saucer. I remember him coming back from one of his adventures with a trophy for winning an contest on a bull riding machine. He always had a joke or way of seeing the happy side. He taught us all about bowling, loving our families, loving life and that life was more than just work. His life was example to live by.
A man full of life and a life well lived. A life too short.

What a blessing to have a wonderful brother. Younger he would remind me that I was much older. He loved his family-his wife Margi and son Richard and daughter in law Brandy and his grandchildren Hadley and Drew. My children always look forward to his visits. He was a charmer of children. He was always interested in what ever I had to tell him about my family and grands. His laugh was so full of joy and care. His hugs were big and his heart so tender. I have so many memories that I will cherish. He was smart and even helped me with my math homework. As children he could beat me at any game we played. Our whole family will miss him and know one day we will see him again and get those wonderful hugs again.

Richard was passionate about his family, bowling, his network team, and our annual chili cook off. We talked a lot about all of these things over the years. He had a fierce love for his Margi and his family and always seemed to stand taller when talking about them. One of the things I will remember the most about Richard was his love of the swag he would get when attending conferences. He always said that it was for the grandkids, but somehow, bits and pieces remained in his office. He was one of a kind.

Margaret, my deepest condolences on the passing of Richard. I enjoy our spirited competition for the annual chili cookoff. He enjoyed his peppers and bringing the heat.
