Obituary of Domingo G. Lugo, Jr.
Our beloved Domingo G. Lugo, Jr., age 71, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Yolanda Lugo; his parents, Domingo P. Lugo, Sr. and Rosie Guajardo Lugo; his brother, Tony Lugo, and his sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Glen Chapin.
Domingo is survived by his children, Richard Lugo (Amy) and Christina Mata (Gilbert); his grandchildren, Aaron Lugo (Chelsea), Jonathan Lugo, Jessica Lugo, Sara Shrader (Levi), Vanessa Casarez (Michael Gomez), Gilbert Mata, Jr. and Victoria Nuñez (Enrique); his great grandchildren, Rosa Lugo, Anthony Rodriguez, Lea Castro, Lily Lugo, Layla Lugo, Matthew Lugo, Elias Shrader, Athena Shrader, and J.; his siblings, Margaret Rangel (Gilbert), Rudy Lugo (Bertha), and Carmen Duran (Joe), and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be Aaron Lugo, Jonathan Lugo, Levi Shrader, Zachary Duran, Enrique Nuñez, and Michael Gomez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Lugo and Elias Shrader.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
