Obituary of Lucille Zamora
Our beloved mom and grandma, Lucille Sepulveda Zamora, a lifelong resident of Austin was called by the Angels of Our Heavenly Father, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the age of 86.
She is preceded by her husband, Elias R. Zamora Sr.; parents: Jesse Pienada and Guadalupe Sepulveda; sisters: Janie DelaRosa and Nellie Cardenas, brother Cleto Martinez; children: Larry "Paul" Zamora, Ruben Zamora, Xavier "Gerry" Zamora, and Jerome "Zack" Zamora.
Lucille is survived by her children, Jessica Baca (Ruben), Cesily Bosley (Mark), Elizabeth Zamora-Lerma (Jaime), Bernadette Hyatt (Tim), Elias Zamora Jr. (Debbie Mallak), John Zamora Sr. (Belen), Ron Zamora (Michelle), John Cortez, and Herbert Cortez; and brother, Jesse Sanchez. Lucille had 57 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great, Great Grandchild who was recently born. She also had many cousins, nieces, and nephews in and around the Austin area.
Lucille retired after 28 years from Seton Medical Center where she worked in Neonatal ICU and Radiology as an administrative assistant, she was also a manager of Sprouts Eatery (located in Seton Medical Center) for many years.
Lucille and her husband Lee were restaurateurs and were involved in many aspects of the restaurant business in the Austin area. They owned 2 Mexican food restaurants, Las Casuelas from 1966-1979 on S. Lamar. They also owned Zamora’s Tex-Mex on N. IH 35 in the early 1990’s. Lucille was best known for her amazing cooking skills, vibrant personality, beautiful smile, unconditional love for others, love of life, and above all for being a wonderful Mom and Grandma to her family.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Seton Hay Hospital ICU Department and the 3rd floor Unit. Thank you also to West Oaks nursing home staff on Slaughter Lane. As well as, a very special thank you to Dr. Douglas Salmon & The Live Oak Cardiology Staff, Dr. Joshua Pozos at Seton Hays Hospital, and her Nurse Practitioner, Desiree Edwards.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South 1st St., Austin, Texas. Catholic Mass will be held at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, TX 78704, on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.
