Words cannot convey the loss of our dear friend Rosanna. She was a kind, compassionate, caring, funny and gentle soul. She welcomed everyone into her life and they were made much better for knowing her. She was the best supervisor you could ask for. Rosanna always had her employee's back and would fight for them.
I knew her brother Johnny before I knew Rosanna. Johnny and I worked at the animal shelter years before I ever met or knew of Rosanna. If you know Johnny you know that like Rosanna, he too has a kind and compassionate heart. I found out that she was his sister when I first started at SWI and she was my first supervisor there. Such a small world to find out they were related.
Rosanna made the night shift better because she made things fun. I will miss our unit meetings as they were never dull, especially when they were off site. I will miss all the laughs we shared when we would meet for lunch/dinner at Amaya's with Louise and my partner and other coworkers. I miss laughing so much until our sides hurt and tears rolled down our faces. We never had a dull time when we all got together.
Rosanna, you will be greatly missed. May Louise and your family find some comfort in knowing what a positive impact you made on people's lives. Anyone who met you and became a friend was that much better for knowing you. May your family find solace in knowing that you were the light in our sometimes dark world. You were and always will be an angel that we all needed in our lives.
Rest in Peace my sweet friend and condolences to your family on the loss of their loved one.
