Obituary of Robert Briseño Piñeda

Our beloved Robert Briseño Piñeda, age 71, resident of Austin, was unexpectedly called to the side of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He is reunited with his parents, Andrew Piñeda and Beatrice Lily Briseño Salazar; and his brother, Ernest Piñeda. 

Robert is survived by his two children, Robert Piñeda, Jr., and Charlotte Piñeda; his five precious grandchildren, Rebecca Piñeda, Alexandra Piñeda, Madison Martinez, Trinity Avila, Thomas Piñeda; his three sisters, Marie Piñeda, Christina Lopez, and her spouse, Elias, Patsy Zubia; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East Ninth Street, Austin, Texas. 

Mr. Piñeda will be laid to rest following Mass at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.

In lieu of flowers, please make a monetary donation to the VA in Robert's memory.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask

and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
