Obituary of Robert Cantrell Smith

Our beloved Robert Cantrell Smith, age 70, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 18, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Earl Smith and Sarah Catherine Smith, maiden Cantrell. Robert proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army and a member of the 82nd Airborne.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine Smith; his children, Shawn R. Smith and his wife, Nicole L., Amanda E. Hunter and her husband, Jerome, and Heather M. Smith; his grandchildren, Isaiah Smith, Colby Smith, Joshua Smith, Payton Smith, Shawn Smith, Jr., James "Jimmy" Smith, Sarah Rose Smith-Perez, Collin Vargas, Mason Vargas, Darius Hunter, and Avante Hunter; his sister, Eileen Malone and her husband, Delane, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2020 also at Missio Funeral Home.  Burial with Military Honors will follow at Onion Creek Cemetery, Manchaca, Texas.
