Obituary of Mario Santos
Our Beloved Mario Santos, age 60, born on April 14, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Austin, Texas.
Mario was a devoted Minister of the Gospel who worked as a Home Health Aide for the Mary Lee Foundation where he provided direct care to the mentally disabled. He actively helped orphanages across the border with funds, supplies and food. Mario also provided street ministry for the homeless through his church and his strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ helped him to positively change the lives of many individuals. He is deeply loved by his family, friends and co-workers and he will be profoundly missed. His joyful spirit will remain in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel Maximiliano Santos and Clotilde Ramirez Santos; sister Lidia Branton and brother Edwardo Santos.
He is survived by his siblings: Elia Naughton, Hilda Corbella, Ramona Flores, John M. Santos, Alicia Santos Ziegner, Peter Santos, and Zenaida Cindy Tsung; his daughter Angie Santos; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.

Visitation is restricted for immediate and extended family.
Public viewing of the Funeral Service and Eulogy can be accessed using the link below.
Each person entering the funeral home is required to have a mask and practice social distancing of 6 feet or more for your safety and those around you.
Family Viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with Services beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by Eulogies on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at the Mission Funeral Home - South Side You may virtually participate by viewing Live on Mission Funeral Home – South Side on Facebook.
Services are being live-streamed to allow participcation by those who can not be present. We advise those who want to participate via live-stream to log on to Facebook prior to the services to insure you know how to log on. You must have your own Facebook Page as well. There is no additional staff on duty at the time of the service to help with logging on and getting connected.
The Committal will be private at Assumption Cemetery on Monday, July 20, 2020.
