Obituary of John P. Buentello, Jr.
Our Beloved John P. Buentello, Jr., age 76, of Austin, Texas, was called Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
He was Director of Security for many years for the Seton Hospital Network and had a passion for doing things right the first time. His accomplishments were many, but he was proudest of the improvements he made to the employee photo ID system.
John was an experienced and avid photographer specializing in weddings and portraiture for more than 35 years. He enjoyed the friendships he made while at A.S. Johnston High School and later he helped to form a group of former Johnston athletes.
His humor and wit, his willingness to help a friend in need, and his undeniable love of family will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. May God grant him eternal peace.
He was preceded in death by his parents John P. Buentello, Sr. and Ramona G. Vidouria and his sister Irene Buentello.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Josie Martinez Buentello; children: John Xavier Buentello (Lisa), Judith Ann Falk (Mike), Julia Buentello Collins (Brian), and Jorge Luis Buentello Sr. (Divina); siblings: Dolores Alvarez, Gloria Rodriguez, Betty Renteria, Randy Buentello, Leo Buentello, Gloria Quiroz, Frank Acosta Jr., David Acosta, Eddie Acosta, Freddie Acosta, Randy Ortiz, Angelica Dennis, Diane Willoughby, and Stella Hawthorne; grandchildren: Eva Govea Buentello, Johnathon Buentello, Jacob Buentello, Joseph Buentello, Joey Buentello, Aaron Buentello, Marissa Buentello, Elsie Buentello, Jorge Luis Buentello Jr., Julian I.
