Obituary of Gena René Hernandez

Our Beloved Gena René Hernandez, age 54, of Creedmoor, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Kyle, Texas.

Gena worked with the Texas Workforce Commission for over 20 years. She loved her family, the beach and spending time with her grandson Jacob.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Wayne Head.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years Joe Hernandez; daughter Adrianna (Josh Moncada) Hernandez and son Joseph Hernandez; grandson Jacob Hernandez; mother Lois June Head; sisters Wanda Cortez and Erika (Bryan) Vela; brother Jeremy Head; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Friends and Family will be meeting at 8:30 a.m. with Funeral Services beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Vision Church of Lockhart located at 401 N Commerce St (25.85 mi); Lockhart, Texas 78644 Interment will follow at Clark Chapel Cemetery.
