We just heard about Pastor Poldrak's passing away. We send our heart felt sympathy to the family. He was always our pastor, who our whole family loved dearly. He will be missed deeply, he had just married our grandson this summer. We will be at a lost without him. He was a great man of God, who showed his faith always to everyone he met.
Wished we had been aware of his passing, so we could of all been there for his family, as he has always been there for ours. Ours prays are with y'all.

Having to lay to rest today...
Brother Poldrack was an amazing man...his love for God and his family was unmeasurable. We have lost a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, pastor and a treasured friend. Brother Poldrack you have left your own special place in my heart. What a beautiful blessing to have known you. You will be missed, but oh how the heavens and the angels are marveled by your presence there. Your kindred spirit will never be forgotten...

When Dwight, our two sons, Dwight, Kevin and I moved to Austin from Southern California to pastor at First Assembly in 1992 we knew no one. It was like moving to a different country. One of our very first memories was of Bro. Poldrack coming to visit every week to help us acclimate. He would come and sit in the church office and joke around and it really helped put us at ease. He was quick to help with whatever we needed, introductions to other ministers, computer problems, and most importantly, just being a friend. He couldn't pronounce my name correctly, so he started calling me Charli. It's funny now because that is my granddaughter's nickname. He is the kind of man that no matter where you are, you knew he would be there for you. And he knew the Bible better than most. I will miss that smile and him calling me Charli just to pester me. There will never be another like him. God bless you Bro. Poldrack as you walk through those Pearly Gates. It won't be long until we meet again. Much love to the entire Poldrack Family, Clarissa Miller Flenniken/Austin First Assembly-Pursuit Church

Many nice things are being told about Rev Clyde Poldrack, but, he wouldn't like it if I said a bunch of nice things of him. Then he would have to take back some of the arguments we had, such as, how much older I am than he. If we talked, that was the subject. One day, he was caught off his guard and told me how old he REALLY was (about 3 years older than I .) I called that his "senile moment" and never let him live it down that he told me. That was the fun thing about Rev Poldrack, he had a special something to tease each person about ..... just between him and his friend. What a joy it was to be his friend. Most of all, he was watching out for his flock (all of us, no matter if he hadn't seen us for months). I would receive a phone call, Bro P would say, "The Lord brought you to my mind and I want to know if everything is alright." Almost always, we had a need and he would say, "Let's pray about that, right now." And he would, on the phone. Many prayers of his were answered immediately. Such Peace brought by speaking the name of Jesus, who he loved so much. I now pray that God's Blessings, Peace and reassurance will saturate the Poldrack family and bring Joy that is unspeakable to each heart of those who love and miss The Reverend Clyde Poldrack. Z Jay

My thoughts, my condolences and my love is with you all -
Uncle Clyde was such a special man, and I am grateful to be his niece!
My memories go way back to being a young child with this very teasing and funny Uncle living with us and teasing me to no end!!
I remember a night when our dog had puppies, and Uncle Clyde taking me outside to see them!
His humor was infectious, and I really admired that about him!
I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL for Uncle Clyde's being with us and his tender ministry to us and my Daddy ( brother-Floyd) during his last days and his passing. His strength and tender care meant and still means the world to me! I believe it gave my daddy comfort in his final hours.
Aunt Carolyn- please know that you are in my prayers -
Pauline, Deborah and Michael- along with your families-- you are in my prayers too.
Please know that in the days ahead, you all are in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers.
I am sorry I cannot be with you Saturday-
Please know-- I will be with you and my family who will be with you- I will be with you in spirit--
With Love, Velina

I am totally brokenhearted at the passing of such an amazing man of God. Not broken hearted for him because he is with his beloved Savior, rather for us......his wife Carolyn, his children, grandchildren, the rest of his family along with all his friends. He will be missed beyond belief! He was my friend and pastor, (even after he retired) for 28 years. He was always there for me and my family. I have never known anyone so devoted and loyal to those he loved. He was an awesome Christian, husband, dad and friend. Even though small in statue, he was a giant among men. I am so thankful I got to see him several weeks ago and give him a hug and let him know I loved him. There will never be another, Clyde Poldrack! He was special and loved more than words can express. My prayers will continue to be with Carolyn and family in the days ahead. I am honored beyond measure to have been able to call him my, pastor and friend. He is now shouting praises in Glory and his candle will never go out again. I love you my friend.....Freida
