Obituary of Louie F. Sanchez, Sr.

Our Beloved Louie F. Sanchez, Sr., age 75, resident of Driftwood, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie Ortiz and Loretta Spiegel; his son, Luciano David Sanchez; his daughters-in-law, Frankie Jo Sanchez, and Dr. Vicki Messer-Sanchez; son-in-law, Gary Ussia; and his sister, Charlotte Kitt.
Louie is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Esperanza “Hope” Sanchez; his children, Louie Fred Sanchez, Jr., Elizabeth Diane (Gianluca) Vecchiet, Monica Lynn (Joe) Franzone, Patrick Anthony (Deborah) Sanchez, Stella Marie Sanchez, Yvonne Rose (Lawrence) Kall, Richard Eugene Sanchez, Gabriel John Sanchez, and Michael James (Trinity) Sanchez; his brother, Johnny Ruiz; 15 grandchildren, Brittany, KJ, Maximus, Joey, Katy, Mercedes, Nealie, Andrew, Morgan, Christopher, Juliana, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Zachary, and Mikey Lou; 2 great-grandchildren, Mason and Adalyn; nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Louie studied at the University of Southern California, 1980. He completed a certificate at the Institute of Business Economics Management.
Louie began to work at Santa Fe railway in Barstow California in 1963 he worked in various positions and began as a machinist and welder. He also was superintendent of shops and director of operations before moving to Morrison Knutson in San Luis Potosi Mexico in 1994 to 2000, in 2000 he began work for MPI as a consultant and finally for General Electric from 2001 to 2005.
Honored Pallbearers will be Maximus Vecchiet, Zachary Kall, Nicholas Kall, Christopher Sanchez, Jay Franzone, KJ Sanchez, Guy Aguayo, and Jim Fergus. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mikey Lou Sanchez.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017, Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2017, St. Catherine of Siena, 4800 Convict Hill Rd., Austin, Texas, 78749. Interment will follow at Phillip Cemetery in Dripping Springs, Texas.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Texas Home Care Hospice; nurses, Helen, Alan, and Sara; Sherri; Dr. Gerald V. Levy and Dr. Javier Sanchez for their loving care to Mr. Sanchez and his family. May God bless and keep each of you and your families.
