Our condolences to my beautiful precious Aunt Panta ( Hope ) and cousins.
Uncle Louie was always so jovial and fun to visit with...teaching, advising, and encouraging us with faith and kindness. A true gentleman.

We send our sincerest, heartfelt condolences in this time of bereavement. May the Holy Spirit bring you comfort and peace.
A special memory that I have of Louie is 1987 in the Cleburne shops. He sought me out before the shops were closing and offered very sound advice. He told me that the Southern Pacific had openings for electricians in Houston, gave me contact information, and wrote a very favorable letter of recommendation. This enabled me to continue my railroad career and thereby support my family. I will always remember his uplifting spirit and encouragement! (John)
May all of your memories continue his love and legacy for you all.

o-o-h Louie I will miss our monthly "hi this is just a courtesy call" for so many years. I will never forget your last call to say "good-bye". Not many people have the level of love in ones heart to do that, but that showed in your life in many ways, especially with the conversation regarding your family and how proud you were of them. I will always remember the first time I met you...it was 1971 and you ran up the 3 flights of stairs to the diesel rack tower and said something to the effect...hi: my name is Louie Sanchez and then the hug you gave me in 1990 when I left Argentine and years later when I helped you write your resume and when I sent it, you said...I did all this.
Someone once wrote: Death leaves a heartache, no one can heal: Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Good bye "my friend" for the memory

Estimada familia Sanchez.

Taken to soon and too young
Now in the arms of Christ
An Angel above of light and love
Watching and waiting and praying
For those left behind and those reunited
Life never to be the same
Heavens goal the only reward
Prayer and love the only comfort
The only road that joins the two
The truth so sadly spoken
But one never to be broken.
We were made by Him,
to love Him and ultimately to return to Him
in His image of Light and Love...

I am sorry to hear of Louie's passing. I had the honor and privilege of knowing him and working for him when he was in charge of the Argentine Diesel Shop. I can not recall any employee at Argentine that didn't like working for him. He was a true "railroader" in every way and mentored many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. RIP Louie
