To Mikes family,
I hope you find comfort in knowing that Mike is Resting in Peace now. I met Mike at the Texas Employment Commission when I became a programmer for the commission in 1991. He was my mentor and well, he knew it all. He was the GOTO guy at the agency in IT.
I talked to Mike before he went home to start his fight, and in good ole Mike Janish terms he said to me "I got this". Mike, you did brother and I hope your now in comfort.
You have the Best seat in the house for the World Series now brother, I know how much you enjoyed Baseball season. You did tell me one day, Your Cubs will make it in your lifetime Abel to the World Series. As in many things you told me over the years, you were absolutely right.
My Prayers are with the Janish family, and for those of us that knew Mike as a great friend and brother in our TEC Family.
Until we meet again Mike, God Rest your soul.
