Our beloved Maria R. Chavez, age 81, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father Thursday, April 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Evarista Roque and her sister, Ana Roque Moreno. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Juan Chavez; her children, Juan (Esperanza) J. Chavez, Sr., Margarita Chavez, Maria Del Carmen (Jose) Bera, David (Rosa) Chavez, Eleasar (Gloria) Chavez, Sr., Javier (Janie) Chavez, Sr., Guadalupe (Chris) Cancino, Omar (Diana) Chavez, Esmeralda (Orlando) Reyes; sister, Alma Roque Garza; 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Zachary Chavez, Justin Chavez, Abel Reyes, Nicholas Chavez, Michael Rios, Richard Bera, Joel Chavez, Juan Chavez, Jr., and Ocean Cancino. Honorary Pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons, Arturo Rios, Tony Rios, Hector Chavez, Joe Bera III, James Bera, Eleaser Chavez, Jr., Joe-Angel Chavez, Joseph Chavez, Ryan Reyes, and Javier Chavez, Jr., Jacob Chavez and great-grandsons, John David Maldonado, Richard Maldonado, Christian Sierra, Richard Bera, Jr., Nathaniel Chavez, Christian Chavez, Gabriel Hernandez, Carter Chavez, Isaiah Xavier Chavez, Jeremiah Chavez, Guillermo Chavez, Benjamin Chavez, Mathian Rieandeau, Gabriel Rios, Isaiah Rios, Tony Heredia, Jonathon Heredia.
