Guadalupe C. Montoya, born on March 25, 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2016 at the age of 71. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Francess Bea Montoya; parents, Ramon and Guadalupe Montoya, and his daughter Norma Jean Montoya Muniz. He is survived by his children, Linda Nunez, Peggy Montoya (Julian), Carlos Montoya (Melody), Cindy Smith (Dario), Angelica Garcia (John), grandchildren; Allan (Diana), Nina, Joseph (Kayla), Jonathan (Julisa), Jessica (David), Marcus, Nyssa, Tyanna, Nicholas, Jaden, Jasmine, Giovanni, Robert, Francess, Mary, Charlie, Jennifer, Ayla, Pat, Ruby, Heather, Vangie; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert Montoya, Jesse Montoya; sister, Esther Marie Montoya, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Mission Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow in Assumption Cemetery.
