Robert Daniel Reyes, 48, resident of Austin, passed away September 9, 2015. Service scheduled are viewing, Wednesday, September 16, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street, Austin, TX 78745. The family wishes to invite those in attendance to a reception following, at 12:00 p.m., at 808 Eberhart, in the community room, at the Eberhart Place Apartments. Robert Daniel Reyes, 48, of Austin passed away on September 9, 2015. Robert was born on October 4, 1966 in Dimmitt, Texas to Edward A. Reyes and Josephine Abalos Reyes. Robert was raised in Austin, TX along with his 6 siblings. Robert was the 3rd child and when he was able to earn his first pay check, his mother shares that his desire was to purchase the school supplies for all of his brothers and sisters. He was a very humble and genuine person, a free-spirited person, as his family describes. Robert was a very neat and clean person growing up, as he arrived from school, he would freshen up before going to work at David's Grocery Store in South Austin. Robert loved his siblings and were always together. Robert as his family describes, did not like anything to be structured, he very much enjoyed being free and without schedules. He was a very respectful person, always helping anyone he met. He is described by his siblings as the protector of the family. Robert enjoyed listening to music bands such as KISS, Journey, and Queen to name a few, his favorite song being "Wheels in the Sky" by Journey. Robert is preceded in death his grandparents. Robert is survived by his parents; Edward A. Reyes and Josephine Abalos Reyes, Siblings; Cathy Cadena of Del Valle, TX, Jerry Reyes of Del Valle, TX, Victor Reyes of Kyle, TX, Rachel Reyes of Austin, TX, Eva Valadez of Austin, TX, and Adam Reyes of Kyle, TX.
