Our beloved Eddie L. Sanchez age 78, a lifelong resident of Austin, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2008. Born March 20, 1929, Eddie served in the U.S. Army for 31 years and was ex-Commander of the Catholic War Veterans post 1805. Preceded in death by his Parents; Martin and Antonia Sanchez, Brother; Eloy Sanchez and a Sister; Dora Olivarez.
Survived by his beloved Wife of 14 years Manuela C. Sanchez, Daughters; Yolanda Samaro (Joe), Patricia Lugo, Frances Ortiz(Pete), Sons; Evernard E. Sanchez (Lisa), Stepchildren; Mary Carmen Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez (Mary), John Rodriguez(Gloria), Mary Helen Rodriguez(Gilbert), Martina Rodriguez(Reuben), Rick Rodriguez(Barbara) and Elizabeth Rodriguez. He is also survived by his Brothers; David Sanchez(Janie), Martin Sanchez(Alice), Sisters; Mary Esther Lizzote (Norman), Lucia Saiz (Manuel) and Matilde Sanchez, Brothers-in-law; Pete Casarez(Theresa) and Frutoso Casarez and a Sister-in-law; Elida Casarez. 19 grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Recitation of Holy Rosary Thursday at 7:00pm, Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel(Cesar Chavez). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 1:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Jaime Matias officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
