Gilbert Herrera Sr. 1937-2008Our beloved and cherished father Gilbert Herrera Sr. was called home on January 6, 2008. He was 70 years of age and resided in Del Valle, TX.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Juan and Louisa Herrera; beloved wife Regina O. Herrera; daughters Mary Alice Gonzales and Elizabeth H. Santos.
He is survived by daughters Hope, Debbie, Brenda, Bonnie; sons Ben, Manuel, Gilbert Jr. and Juan; spouses Frank, Mike, Marylin, Yolanda and Janie; 23 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street.
Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street.
Funeral service will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Pastors Phil Woods and Mike Vega and son Ben Juarez will officiate. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers Alex Ojeda Jr., Joe Angel Ojeda, John Albert Ojeda, Jesse Herrera, Alex Herrera Jr., Ricky Herrera, David Herrera and John Herrera.
