Ernest L. Espinosa Sr. "Neto" 1940-2007Our loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, Ernest L. Espinosa Sr. was called to Heaven on Thursday, November 15, 2007 He was born on September 3, 1940 in Austin, Texas to Manuel and Teresa Espinosa. Ernest married Janie Hisbrook on November 15, 1959 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. This was the start of many beautiful memories. Memories of family gatherings, poker nights, drive-in movies, dances at the coliseum, backyard barbecues, speed-o-rama races, anniversaries, birthdays and weddings with family and friends. His favorite gatherings were his trips to Las Vegas. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sulema Espinosa; brother Raymond Espinosa. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Janie; daughter Vickey Cruz and son-in ?law John Cruz; son Ernest Espinosa Jr.; brother Manuel Espinosa Jr.; sisters Hortence Velasquez and husband Sylvester, Rosie Herrera and husband Martin, Belinda and husband Dan; grandchildren Teresa Hernandez, Jacob Hernandez, Monica Trevino, Jonni Cruz, Jessi Cruz, Sydney Espinosa, Alex Cruz and Alicia Cruz; great-grandchildren Marissa, Analisa, Leanna, Matthew, Israel, Mariah, Ryan and Alinah. Ernest will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rosary: 7:00 p.m. Friday November 16th at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Saturday November 17, 2007 at St. Mary Cathedral 203 East 10th Street. Burial: Assumption Cemetery
