She is preceded in death by her parents Florencio and Dorotea Soliz, her husband of 54 years Manual Coy, Sr., sons Guadalupe Coy & Manuel Coy, Jr.; son-in-law Victor Ruiz, and granddaughter Dorothy Coy.She is survived by Children Jose Coy, Sr. (Mary), Isabel Ruiz, Candelaria Bocanegra (Jose), Margaret Ramos (Alfonso); brothers Florencio, Avilio, Victor & Eugene, sisters Frances & Mary; 32 grandchildren, 79 great grand children and 48 great-great grandchildren.
Clara loved to be outdoors watering her vegetable and rose gardens, watching the Atlanta Braves and trips to Woolworth?s with grand kids in tow. She spent much of her life cooking & baking for family, friends and neighbors, and sewing throughout the year gifts she would give at Christmas time. Oh, how she loved cool crisp mornings with a cup of coffee and a sweet pastry. She especially enjoyed those Sunday afternoons when family would gather at her house to visit, and tours to West Texas, Arizona and California to visit family.
Grandma Coy, the Matriarch of our family, spent 96 wonderful years giving unconditional love to everyone. She was our Angel on Earth and is now our Guardian Angel in Heaven.
The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Cindi Faulkner and the entire staff at West Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, as well as Dr. Milton Shepperd, who compassionately provided care and love for Grandma Coy.
