Mrs. Petra Hernandez Marrero, age 78, resident of Austin, peacefully entered rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2000. She is survived by, beloved husband, Fernando Marrero, Jr.; six children and their spouses, Mary Guerra and Daniel, Olivia Lee and Rick, Jesse Marrero and Cecilia, David Marrero and Belia, Abel Marrero and Vera of Houston, Fernando Marrero III and Family of Saginaw, MI; brothers, Victor of Garland, TX, Crescencio, and Leon Hernandez, all others of Austin. Also survived by 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great-grandchildren.
The Marrero family extends heartfelt gratitude towards the staff of Hospice Austin, Dr. Cullington, and the staff of Health South.
Prayer service was held on Wed, 7pm at Mission Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10am at Mission Funeral Home. Reverend Henry Torres will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Guerra Jr., Abel Marrero, Abel Martinez, David Marrero Jr., Gerald Guerra, and Samuel Craig Martinez.
