Our beloved Susie L. Acosta, age 94, resident of Manchaca, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Husband, Henry Acosta, preceded Mrs. Acosta in death, her parents Miguel and Marcelina M. Lopez, sons Juan and Lupe Acosta and twin infants. Survived by her Beloved Daughter, Mary (Nena) Martinez and belated son in law Mage Martinez, Beloved Son, Frank Acosta and daughter in law Mary Acosta all from Manchaca Texas, Daughter in laws Josie Acosta and Esperanza Saldana. Loved by 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 32 great- great grandchildren. Mrs. Susie Acosta worked at Crockett High School as a custodian from1969-1979. Shed enjoyed entertaining and making everyone feel at home. She had a passion of sharing her life stories with everyone. Recitation of Holy Rosary Sunday at 6:00 pm at Mission Funeral Home Remembrance Chapel (Cesar Chavez). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 am at San Jose Catholic Church, Reverend Father Miguel Duarte and Deacon Jesse Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Albert Maldonado Sr., William Otero Sr., David Quintanilla, Onesimo Rodriguez, Domingo Martinez, Rene (Leo) Balli.
