Hipolito "Paul" R. Alvarez 1941-2007 Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, Hipolito ?Paul? R. Alvarez, age 65, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on July 24, 2007.
He was preceded in death by parents Candelaria and Anselmo Alvarez; sister Adelina Valdez; brother Israel Alvarez ; in-laws Longino Jr. and Lucy Monreal.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Vivian M. Alvarez; daughters Kristi Perales and husband Joe, Tracy Alvarez and husband Robert Martinez, Jill Alvarez and husband Mark Acosta; siblings Ofelia Alvarez, Mary Castro and Pete Alvarez; grandchildren Joe ?JoJo? Perales Jr., Alex, Andrene, Alexis and Alyssa Martinez, Esteban and Gabriela Acosta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of rosary Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church 2435 Oak Crest. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Mark Monreal, Michael Monreal, Tine Valdez ,Adam Valdez, Andrew Gamez, Joe ?Jo Jo? Perales Jr.
Honorary pallbearers Esteban Acosta and Rey Castro.
The family wishes to extend a sincere and special thanks to Rosalinda ?Chula? Monreal for her kindness and caring for Paul and his family.
