Our Beloved Rosie retired from the City of Austin on December 20, 1999 after 32 years of dedicated service working at City Hall. Most notably, she was the first Hispanic person to work at City Hall.
Rosie was a member of Govalle United Methodist Church for 47 years in which she held various positions of importance.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 37 years, Ben Jesse Acu?a, Jr. , son Ben J. Acu?a II, daughter Christina L. Acu?a- Parker and husband Les Parker; two granddaughters Kalee R. Acu?a and Alissia D. Acu?a; mother Esther Esparza, five brothers Joe and wife Edna, Ruben and wife Velia, Ismael and wife Ruth, Robert and Roy Esparza; sister Martha Marie and husband David Maco; several nephews and nieces.

Formal Visitation will be held on Sunday, 6:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street.
Funeral service will be Monday 2:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street.
