Oscar Reyes Mendoza August 9, 1933- March 31, 2007Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at Hospice Austin?s Christopher House on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Oscar was born August 09, 1933 in Mission, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Gregorio Mendoza, mother Frances Mendoza, and brother Ruben Mendoza. He is survived by his wife Lina Mendoza, his daughters Terri Gil (Ron), Sylvia Lopez (Jose), Sue Pe?a (Ron), and Sant? Delgado (Richard), and sons Richard Mendoza and John Mendoza. His grandchildren include: Jenny, Joyce, Veronica, Victoria, Jose, Lina, Oscar, Leona, Maurisha, Rocky, Crystal, Alexis, Richard Anthony, Jessica, and Richard Lee; 15 great-grandchildren; six brothers, four sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to El Milagro Dialysis, South Austin Hospital, and Hospice Austin?s Christopher House for their care during his final hours and for their sensitivity to his family members. Thank you also to extended family and friends for their support and prayers. Recitation of Rosary will be Monday, April 02, 2007, 7:00pm, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street, Austin. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 03, 2007, 2:00pm, at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Avenue, Austin, followed by Graveside Services at Assumption Cemetry-Chapel, 3650 South IH-35, Austin. Pallbearers: Rocky Pe?a, Chris Cardenas, Oscar Lopez, Zach Gil-Mata, Dominic Olivares, and Daryl Meaux. Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Anthony Delgado, Richard Lee Mendoza, and John Metevier.
