Our beloved husband and father, Lee Ben Ruiz Sr., age 66, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 20, 2000. He is survived by beloved wife of 32 years, Victoria Ruiz; seven children, Josie Perez, Brenda Ruiz, Cynthia Zapata, Evangelina Sandoval, Paul Zapata, Lee Ben Ruiz Jr., Laura and Lucinda Ruiz; siblings and spouses, George Ruiz and Mary, Richard Ruiz and wife Hope, Mella Mathews and Ray, all of Austin. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary Tuesday, 7:30pm at Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 2pm at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscans Friars OFM Conv. will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Joe, Leandro, John Ruiz, Jr., Buster Capuchino, Alex Rios, and Joe Perez. Jesse Zapata will serve as honorary pallbearer.
