Our beloved Joe S. Serda, age 77, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Survived by beloved Wife of 51 years; Dora Jean Cerda, their beloved Children; Michael Cerda(Judi), Cynthia Cerda, Richard Cerda(AliceVines), Sylvia Gonzalez(Fernando) and Christine Cerda, 2 Grandchildren; Christopher M. Raines and Megan L. Zimmer. Preceded in death by his Parents; Tomas and Audelia S. Cerda.
Recitation of Holy Rosary Thursday at 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home-Remembrance Chapel(Cesar Chavez). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00am at St. Julia's Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. John Boiko officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers; Michael Cerda, Richard Cerda, Don Mears, Christopher M. Raines, David Cantu and Fernando Gonzalez .
The Cerda family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. David Wright and Healthsouth Rehab Center, Nurse Jennifer and the 4th floor staff for their care, love and support given to Mr. Serda, also to Jerome Russo and Don Mears for the friendship and happy times that were shared past, present and future to our beloved Joe.
