Thomas Maldonado Sr. beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 81, of Austin, passed away Monday, February 7, 2000. Tom was born on March 7, 1918, and was raised in and around Austin. He was a hardworking man who provided for his large family even in the hardest of times. He was a very humble man who has gone home to be with the lord. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years Mary Elizabeth Johnson Maldonado on Wednesday December 22, 1999, daughter Louise Reiser, grandson, Ruben Ruiz and granddaughter Brandi Reiser. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Anita and Chris Sosa, Gloria and John Kruse, Betty and Ray Pena, Thomas Jr., Nancy and Ike Bilke, Felicha and Bill Buggy, Lorane and Rick Balker, and John Robert; Sister Maria. He also leaves 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Wake will be held Wednesday at the Mission Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Thursday, 10:30am at Mission Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Jenkins will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons and great-grandson. Arrangements by Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E.
