Our beloved Moses B. Castro, 69, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 23, 2006 due to an untimely accident. He was a retired concrete contractor who worked for over 30 years in the business and also a former Roy's taxi cab driver.Survived by his wife of 46 years, Elivira "Vera" Castro; Beloved Children, Linda Russo and husband Carl, Johnny Castro and wife Yolanda, Davey Castro and Stella Castro, his father, Maximino Castro; three brothers, Julian, Jesse and Joe Castro, 2 Sisters; Emily Moreno and Paula Herrera. Extended family includes Joe Alejos, Denise Minjarez, Jessica Lopez and Alex Lopez.
Preceded in death by his Mother, Maria B. Castro and a Brother, Vicente B. Castro.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the nurses and teams of doctors at Brackenridge Hospital's Trauma Center and ICU, especially Jonathon and Lynne.
Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Wednesday, Remembrance Chapel-Mission Funeral Home (Cesar Chavez). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am at Our Guadalupe Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, OMI to officiate. Interment will follow in Capital Memorial Park Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are his grandchildren: Jason Russo, John Aaron Castro, Javier Castro, Benjamin Castro, Joel Valladares and Armando Medina. Honorary pallbearer is granddaughter, Elizabeth Castro.
