Our beloved Agapito M. Tovar, age 87, resident of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on August 2, 2006. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Elisa E. Tovar, grandson Anthony and daughter-in-law Sarah.
Survivors include: daughters Esther (Robert) Ortegon, Sylvia (Maurecio) Vasquez, Marie Morales, Arleen (Ruben) Navarro, Stella (Jesse) Ruiz, Helen (Rudy) Perez; sons Manuel (Virginia), Pete, John (Nancy), Agapito (Duyen), Jr., Gilbert, Randy (Judy); sisters Augustina Castano, Feliceana Melchar, Victoriana Eureste, Catalina Esquivel; brothers Trinidad, Tomas, Reymundo, Felix, Jr., 32 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of Holy Rosary will take place at 7: 30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4 at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Sat., Aug. 5 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Fr. Euresti will officiate. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Pete Tovar, Jr., Robert Ortegon, Jr., Mauricio Vasquez III, Gilbert Tovar, Jr., Manuel Tovar, Jr., John Eric Tovar.
