Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, Herminia (Minnie) Soto Padilla passed away Saturday, June 24, 2006. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (South). Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Julia Catholic Church. Rev. Father JC Cain will officiate. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery. Mrs. Padilla was preceded in death by her husband, Vicente G. Padilla (passed away August 2005); her children Marcelo, Robert and Ophelia Navarro; and two brothers, Jose and Gabriel Soto. She is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Padilla-Gonzales, (Jose) and Rachael Padilla-Torres; step-son Vincent Padilla (Nelda); sister, Inez Soto Valencia (Pete), (all of Austin); and brother, Francisco Soto (Maria), (Dallas). Grandchildren: Paul Navarro (Shawna), Mark Navarro (Amanda), Aisha Ramirez-Dull (Alan), Crystal Ybarra, Joseph Gonzales, Stephen Torres, Stacy Torres, Tiffany Torres, Michael Padilla (Eva), Michelle Padilla (Kevin) & 14 great-grandchildren. Also, Lisa Navarro, Gabriel Torres and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends from San Antonio, Dallas and Austin; Serving as pallbearers are Alan Dull, Michael Padilla, Frank Valencia, Albert Soto, Tomi Soto, and Efrain Rodriguez "O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.
