Our beloved Francisco "Frank" Cantu, Sr., age 89, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Sunday, April 21, 2024. He is reunited with his sons, Frank Cantu, Jr., Jesse Rangel; his parents, Jose Rios Cantu and Maria Adame Cantu; his brother, Joe Cantu; his sisters, Juventina Cantu Martinez, Olivia Balli; and his brother-in-law, Lupe Coy. Frank is survived by his loving children, Dora Cantu, Joseph R. Cantu, and his wife, Diana, Mary Sue Cantu, Isabel Trujillo, and her husband, Eddie; 15 precious grandchildren, 22 treasured great-grandchildren, and 11 beloved great-great-grandchildren; his siblings, Ernestina Cantu coy, Pete Cantu, Justo Cantu, and his wife, Nancy, Janie Cantu, Catarina Cantu Arredondo, and her husband, Robert Sr., Hopie Cantu; his brother-in-law, Leo Balli; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 11:00 a.m. courtesy of the Cristo Rey Sociedad de Guadalupanas, and followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 12:00 p.m. celebrated by Fr. John of Cristo Rey Catholic Church, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Committal will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
