Our beloved Susena Avalos Reyes, age 82, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Roberto Avalos Reyes; her parents, Federico Garza and Cruz Hernandez; her siblings, Andrew Garza, Adela Matias, Dolores Trejo, Santiago "Jimmy" Garza, Isabel Terrazas, Brigido Garza, Irene Garza, Carmen Gonzalez, and Manuela Canales. Susena is survived by her children, David G. Reyes, and his spouse, Lily, Norma Avalos, Oscar Javier Avalos, Robert Avalos, Jr., Irma Avalos-Gonzales, and her spouse, Lalo, Jesse James Avalos, Connie Avalos; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; her sister, Yolanda Trejo; her brother, Paul Garza, Sr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. Visitation for Susena will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 East Second Street, Austin, Texas. Committal will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
