Our beloved Evelyn Marie Janish, age 72, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday March 31, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Janish; her parents, Melvin Fajkus and Albina Ann Fajkus; her siblings, Jerry Janish, George Glover, and Bill Lobnitz; and her nephew, Omar Majid. Evelyn is survived by her children, Amanda Texeria, Kelly Janish, and Jennifer and James Lightfoot; her grandchildren, Jacob, Emilia, and Andrew Texeria; her siblings, Betty and Joe Marusik, Mel and Jean Fajkus, Marilyn Glover, Delores and Bill Kurtz, Rose Lobnitz, Annette and Glen Smith, Gloria and Paul Brandl; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Monsignor James Janish, Delores and Alvin Steffeck, Isabel Steffeck, Tony Janish, Rosalie Majid, Tom and Debbie Janish; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd., Austin, Texas 78749. Interment to follow at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery, 14501 N IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
