Our beloved Sandra Olinda Leyva age 61, resident of Austin, Texas passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. After a tough battle with cancer, Sandra passed away peacefully at home with her loved ones by her side. She will be remembered as a hard worker and loving mother, who cared for everyone around her. Sandra had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room. She was a devout Jehovah's Witness; her faith and love of God carried her through tough times without fear and the hope of resurrection after death. She will be dearly missed by loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Sandra is survived by her mother, Carmen Salazar; her children, Wendy Vargas and Alvaro Flores; three grandchildren and one on the way; her siblings, Gilberto Leyva and Oscar Campos; and other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel.
