Our beloved Sylvia P. Benavides, age 78, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 16, 2024. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Carlos G. and Isabel Peña; her infant brother, Carlitos Peña and brother, Paz Peña. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ediberto Benavides; her son, Michael Benavides and daughter, Angelica Benavides; her siblings, Raul G. Peña and Mercedes Peña, as well as many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home-South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
