Our beloved Maria Lilly Alonzo, age 76, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Maria was greeted in heaven by her parents, Moises and Benita Garza. Maria is survived by her husband of 56 years, David Alonzo; her children, David Alonzo, Jr. (Kerry Doherty), Daniel Alonzo (Patricia), Luis Alonzo (Rebecca), and Cindy Garcia (Abelardo); her treasured grandchildren, Abelardo Garcia, Jr. (Brianna Vasquez), Caitlin Garcia, and Luis Alonzo, Jr; her sisters, Sally Parisi (Joe) and Mary Whitley; her brother, Adan Garza (Mirta) as well as many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 120 W. Oltorf St., Austin, Texas. Burial will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio Texas.
