Our beloved David Alvarez Luna, age 39, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph A. Luna, Sr. and his grandparents, Juan Alvarez, Juanita Alvarez, Nicholas Acosta, and Teresa Ward. David is survived by his mother, Guadalupe Luna; his brothers, Ezekiel Luna and Rudolph Luna, Jr. (Julia); his nieces and nephews, Crystal Luna (Jordan), Rudy Angel Luna, Kassandra Luna, Myranda Luna, and John Angel Luna (Angel); great nieces and nephews, Jaqlyn Bourne, Jordan Luna, Sy'riah Whitaker, Ezrah Luna, and Serenity Whitaker; his aunts and uncles, Rosa Garcia (Miguel), Carmen Soto, and Jesse Luna (Olivia) as well as numerous other family members and friends. Honored Pallbearers will be Rudolph Luna, Ezekiel Luna, Rudy Angel Luna, John Angel Luna, Joe Garcia, Dominick Reconco, Florencio Soto, and Jordan Whitaker. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 9th & Lydia St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
