Our beloved Michael Andrew Sokol, age 70, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 15, 2024. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Michael proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his son, Lee Bonner Whipkey; his parents, George Sokol, Jr. and Therese Rose Sokol (nee Turzyn), and his brothers, George Sokol and Craig Sokol.
Michael is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Sokol; his daughters, Veronica Huddleston (Keith), Melissa Sokol, Jennifer Sokol, and Stephanie Sokol; his treasured grandchild, Morrigan Huddleston; his brother, Ronald Sokol (Barbara); his niece, Rita Bush; nephews, David Sokol, Michael Sokol, and Anthony Sokol, as well as many other loving family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. The chapel will open at 12:00 p.m. with the services beginning at 12:30.
