Obituary of Elizabeth Chavera
Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth Gil Chavera, age 46, a lifelong resident of Austin, died peacefully at home in her sleep on Tuesday October 5th.Those who knew her were amazed at her zest for life in spite of more than a decade of battling debilating and utimately fatal illnesses. We will all remember her for her big heart and her even bigger laughter that would fill any room. Liza knew that her time was limited and as a result she rarely allowed her pain and lack of ambulation to prevent her from attending and thoroughly enjoying family and local events. We will miss her dearly, but we can find comfort in the fact that Liza?s love and acceptance of God has earned her eternal rest.
She is survived by her devoted husband David Gloria, who was with her at the time of her death as well as her companion dog, ?Karma?. Parents; Lupe and George Collinge, and Pete and Frances Gil, Grandmother; Lucille Herrera, Sister; Vickie Johns and husband Glen, Brother; Michael Gil and wife Mornice and children Zachary and Hannah, Sister; Theresa Murphy, Niece; Beth Weum and husband Brady and children Dylan and Skylar, Nephew; Matthew Johns.
