Our beloved Palmira Lamboy Alcala, age 78, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Rosario Lamboy and Maria Trinidad Varela; her husband, Florentino Alcala; her son, Steve Lamboy Alcala; her grandson, Steven Alcala and her brother-in-law, Joe Zamora. Palmira is survived by her children, Richard Flores and his wife, Irene, Ron Lamboy and his wife, Yvonne, and Denise Peña; her grandchildren, Raquel Flores, Nicholas Flores, Gabriel Lamboy, Veronica Lamboy, Andrew Alba, Edward Peña II, Cecilia Peña, Matthew Peña, Jacob Alcala, and Caleb Alcala; nine great grandchildren; her siblings, Oscar Lamboy and his wife, Carmen, Jesse Lamboy, Gloria Treviño, Norma Rodriguez, and Christina Saenz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary and Scripture Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Assumption Cemetery.
