Nuestro amado Ruperto Rivera, de 76 años, fue llamado a nuestro Padre Celestial el sábado 27 de enero de 2024. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Ruperto Rivera y Nicolasa Sorto; su hijo, Nelson Rivera, y sus hermanos, Eulalia "Lala" Rivera, Atiliano Rivera, Ovidio Rivera y Olympia Rivera.
A Ruperto le sobreviven su esposa durante 29 años, Graciela Rivera; sus hijos, Julio Rivera, Luis Rivera, Ovidio Rivera, Verónica Rivera, Delia Rivera, Myrna Hernández, Ramona Hernández, Consuelo Hernández, Griselda Hernández e Icela Hernández; sus hermanos, Bertila Rivera, Ana Rivera, Elidio Rivera, Linda Rivera y Salome Rivera, así como numerosos nietos, sobrinas, sobrinos y otros queridos familiares y amigos.
El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 a 9:00 p.m. con el ministro hablando a las 19:00 horas el martes 6 de febrero de 2024 en Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
Su funeral comenzará a las 11:00 a. m. el miércoles 7 de febrero de 2024 también en Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Seguirá el entierro en el cementerio Live Oak, 200 Twin Creek Rd., Manchaca, Texas.

Our beloved Ruperto Rivera, age 76, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruperto Rivera and Nicolasa Sorto; his son, Nelson Rivera, and his siblings, Eulalia "Lala" Rivera, Atiliano Rivera, Ovidio Rivera, and Olympia Rivera.
Ruperto is survived by his wife of 29 years, Graciela Rivera; his children, Julio Rivera, Luis Rivera, Ovidio Rivera, Veronica Rivera, Delia Rivera, Myrna Hernandez, Ramona Hernandez, Consuelo Hernandez, Griselda Hernandez, and Icela Hernandez; his siblings, Bertila Rivera, Ana Rivera, Elidio Rivera, Linda Rivera, and Salome Rivera, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with the minister speaking at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, 200 Twin Creek Rd., Manchaca, Texas.
