Our beloved Francisco (Frank) Venegas III, age 58, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 28, 2024 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Frank was born on August 20, 1965 in Del Rio, Texas. After high school, Frank joined and proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army until 1992 . Soon after he took employment with the US postal service. Frank pursued his education at St.Edward's University and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors of Arts degree. Frank is survived by his parents, Francisco Venegas II, and Paula Sandoval Venegas; his children, Cynthia Castellanos (David), Valerie Chavez (Frank), Maira Venegas (Salvador), Nicholo Venegas (Veronica), Ariel Venegas, and Arissa Venegas (Kristin); his siblings, Maricela, Eduardo, David, and Monica; his 13 grandchildren: Frankie, Roselyn, Michael, Aden, D'Vine, Maximus, Lucinda, Bella, Josiah, Julian, Benjamin, Caleb, and Olivia; his nephews and niece: Michael, John and Melissa; numerous cousins, and many other loving family members and friends. Frank's children would like to extend a note of appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff at Seton VAD Clinic, ICU nurses and staff at Seton Main Hospital. Frank was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. His generosity and love will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service and Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas 78749.
