Please share a memory of Maggie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our beloved Maggie Trejo, age 68, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmundo Trejo and Anselma Riojas and her brothers, Eddie Trejo, Ernest Trejo, and Adam Trejo. Maggie faithfully served at San Jose Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Religious Education Teacher and was a member of the Sequila Christi community group. She also was in the family group of Chain of Faith. She helped make rosaries to send all around the world and locally to our community. She was a devout Catholic that truly believed in living the message of love and forgiveness. She loved everyone around her by making sure we knew God loved us all the same. The impact she made in everyone’s lives was immeasurable. She was the best mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, friend, teacher, and companion. She loved to travel, play loteria, go on casino trips with friends and family and was always ready for some good food and family time. Her grandkids and kids were her world. She faithfully made German chocolate cakes for her kids birthdays. She loved her lively Lockhart roots and never let us forget about her adventures at 313 Plum Street. She was full of life and love and we are thankful to have experienced her unconditional love and support. Maggie is survived by her children, Richard Zapata, Jr. (Margaret), Robert Zapata (Shannon), Rebecca Zapata, and Russell Zapata; her grandchildren Lauren Zapata, Mary Bowser, and JoEdward Sturgeon; partner, Jesse Navarro; her siblings, David Trejo (Hilda), Josie Delgado (Johnny), and Bertha Trejo; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Trejo and Esther Trejo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
