Obituary of Raymond Valentine Casas

Our beloved Raymond "Chingon" Valentine Casas, age 82, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 8, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isreal Casas and Consuelo Rubalcado Casas; his sons. Raymond Casas, Rudy Casas and Michael Casas; his brothers, Bobby Casas, Ricky Casas, Ruben Casas, and Ricky Rubalcado; and his sisters, Sandra Rubalcado and Amy.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 48 beautiful years, Rose Marie Casas; his children, Sylvia Garcia, Deanna Hernandez (James), Ronnie Casas, Monica Casas (Steven), Rey Casas (Martha), Joel Soriano, Jr. (Lori Ann), Linda Salazar (Ben), and Rosemarie Armonta (Jesse); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great gradnchildren; his siblings, Ralph Casas, Ruben Casas, Rosie, Sylvia and Linda;  numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are John Anthony Rodriguez, Israel Soriano, Joel Soriano II, Nicholas Soriano, Marcelino Soriano, Hector Joel Rivera, Jesse David Armonta, Jr., and Anthony Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Christopher Gutierrez and Rey Israel Casas. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street Austin, Texas 78745.

Scripture Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street Austin, Texas 78745.  Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
