Obituary of Cecilia L. Serrano

Our beloved Cecilia Ledesma Serrano, age 91, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, surrounded by the love and admiration of her family. Cecilia is reunited with her beloved husband of 66 years, Manuel E. Serrano; her children, Rose Marie Gonzales, Joel Serrano, Susan Ann Saldivar; and her siblings, Bonnie Zamora, Johnny Ledesma, Pauline Zamora, Guadalupe Garcia, Susie Serrano, and Cipriano Ledesma. 

Cecilia is lovingly remembered by her children, Beatrice Estrada, and her spouse, Robert, Christine  Serrano, Manuel "Manny" Serrano, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rosie Serrano; son-in-law, Jose Saldivar; 15 precious grandchildren,  33 treasured great-grandchildren, and 15 valued great-great-grandchildren;  numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held for Cecilia on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

Mass of Christian Burial will follow the next morning, Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas. 

Services for Mrs. Serrano will conclude with committal at Assumption Cemetery, following the conclusion of Mass.
